Get directionsTye (they/them) identifies as a trans, agender, queer and neurodivergent. They are a registered social worker, practicing in Ontario. They have a Bachelor of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, and are currently completing their student placement at Pink Opal Counselling for their Master of Social Work (Lakehead University). Tye has over six years experience working in the field of mental health and substance use with youth and adults, as well as queer and trans communities. They ground their practice in feminism and harm reduction, and are oriented towards social justice and anti-oppressive practices.
Tye aims to create spaces filled with care, kindness and understanding, where people feel seen and heard. They take an informal and eclectic approach to counselling, drawing on different modalities within sessions such as DBT and IFS.
