Tasia Sourasis Therapy

Welcome! I am a queer Registered Social Worker (MSW) with extensive experience in clinical mental health settings, crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and the treatment of concurrent disorders.  I have had the privilege of supporting clients with depression, grief, gender identity exploration, anxiety, trauma, suicidal ideation, coming out support, and substance misuse. I understand and the impact of systemic inequality, capitalism, intersectionality, and minority stress; and recognize the importance of having a safe, supportive place to process these experiences.

My lens is trauma-informed, queer affirmative, feminist, and I incorporate mindfulness, harm reduction frameworks, and somatic modalities. I attempt to facilitate an egalitarian approach between client and therapist and take a non-pathologizing approach to mental health.  My goal is to create a space free of judgement, that is allowing and honoring of any challenging emotion and experience, and ultimately, where you can discover and embody your most authentic self.

Taking the first step towards therapy can be daunting, I offer a free 15-minute session to see if we are a good fit for one another. I welcome people from all backgrounds, and I am honoured to meet all the parts that make up who you are.
