Hi! I’m SJ!
Are you looking to explore new possibilities for addressing challenges in your life? Are you eager to talk to someone who isn’t going to put you in a box? Do you want to work collaboratively toward your goals and experiment with new ideas? Through conversation and movement I will invite you to to find growth, change, meaning, and connection. Using an invitational and collaborative approach we can work together to strategize, experiment, and address the challenges you’re facing.
The identities, labels, and stories we use to create our place in the world can have both liberatory and unintended consequences. Whether you’re interested in unraveling these to deepen your relationships with others, or you’d like to connect more deeply with your own sense of self, I can support you.
With empathy and humour, we can engage in insightful, meaningful conversation. I use Trauma-Informed, Anti-Oppressive, and politicized practices that hold space for your experiences of distress, joy, and everything in between. This means we can work together toward your goals and preferences in ways that account for both individual and systemic factors.
I’m a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist. I’m a grateful and continuously learning and striving white settler from Tkaronto. I’m trans-masculine, neurodivergent, psychiatric consumer. I am also a certified Clinical Trauma Specialist with additional education in Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems. Currently, I’m training in somatic approaches to deepen my practice. I use an eclectic and integrative approach so I can be responsive to your needs and preferences.
