Dr. Noor provides virtual psychotherapy and psychological assessment services to adults and adolescents (14 – 65 years of age). She works with individuals experiencing depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anger, perfectionism, low self-esteem, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), personality disorders, psychosis, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), gender-identity exploration, and other life challenges including relationship and work problems.
Dr. Noor works from an Anti-Oppressive/Decolonial lens. She has a a passion for supporting those who have experienced trauma related to racism, oppression, marginalization, and discrimination. In her therapeutic work, she integrates humanistic, relational, culturally-informed, and strength-based principles to design a plan that is tailored to the individuals goals. Dr. Noor’s approach to therapy is integrative, with a foundation in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Dr. Noor has specialized training in providing trauma-focused therapy using Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE), using a CBT approach to treat psychosis, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, and working with individuals leaving cults or high-control environments and groups. Her approach to psychotherapy is informed by scientific research and is evidence-based.
Dr. Noor also conducts comprehensive psychological assessments for the purpose of clarifying diagnoses, making treatment recommendations, informing short-term disability and long-term disability leaves, and determining return-to-work accommodations and recommendations. Common conditions she assesses includes ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, OCD, PTSD, and psychosis.
