Clayre Sessoms Psychotherapy

Clayre Sessoms is an experienced Clinical Counsellor and Art Therapist, newly designated in Ontario as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). As a trans woman with a physical disability, Clayre has purposefully cultivated her clinical practice to be a safe and comfortable place by and for the trans* community. Grounded in trans-inclusive feminism, her person-centred and trauma-informed approach can encompass talk therapy, art therapy, and experiential therapy. With qualifications in DBT, EMDR, TIST, IFS, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Clayre also specializes in hormone and surgery readiness assessments. She works one-on-one beyond gender affirmation or transition because life continues long after coming out and she believes we are more than our identities. You can count on down-to-earth and real conversations. You can expect a gentle, curious, and guiding presence during sessions.
