I am a Student Therapist at the Toronto Institute of Psychoanalysis and provide sliding-scale psychotherapy to individuals seeking support with a range of experiences including grief, substance use, anger, depression, anxiety, intimacy, identity, and family and relationship issues.
I have a background in Gender Studies and Feminist Research and work from a harm reduction perspective, recognizing how intersecting identities of race, class, gender, culture, sexuality shape what trauma, resilience, and healing means for different people. I am trans, queer, poly, and kink affirming and welcome and affirm the experiences of people who have been marginalized including sex workers and people who use drugs.
My job as a therapist is to learn everyday how to best listen to my clients. This work requires training, practice and creativity. Through it, my clients not only learn to speak more openly and freely, but also to listen to themselves in new ways, allowing them to move forward, take risks, and find acceptance.
