Alia Ziesman: Your Story Counselling Services

I am a registered psychotherapist (qualifying) intern with Your Story Counselling Services. I providing therapy for individuals under the supervision of Judy Lui.

I recognize that 2SLGBTQ face various barriers and challenges to accessing care. I provide a respectful, safe, judgment-free space, accepting of everyone. Trainings include: Dulwich Centre’s LGBTQ2+ Inclusivity Training, Canadian Mental Health Association’s (CMHA) Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and Privacy and Informed Consent trainings, and more. I have previously volunteered with the local Women in Crisis, Immigrant Services, and United Way. Since 2012, I continue to serve as a Leadership Committee Member for the Local Immigration Partnership where we strive to remove barriers to integration and accessing services for newcomers.
