As a catalyst for 2SLGBTQ health research, RHO partners with others to share knowledge, foster research networks and sit on advisory committees. Our committee and partnership work includes:
- Planning an intersectoral network of healthcare and community leaders to advance trans-affirming care for sexual assault survivors: RHO sat on the advisory committee for this project to improve care for trans survivors of sexual assault, led by Janice Dumont at Women’s College Hospital.
- St. Joseph London’s Zero Suicide Initiative: RHO is a community partner for this project aimed at decreasing suicide rates in London, ON and the surrounding regions.
- Begin Exploring Fertility Options, Risk and Expectations (before): Canadian E-Health Apps for Shared Decision-Making with People at Risk of Cancer Treatment: RHO is a research partner in this study designed to improve the quality of fertility decision-making for young cancer patients in Canada.
RHO is also a partner in Ontario’s Trans Health Expansion (THEx), a partnership formed with Women’s College Hospital and CAMH to improve access to transition-related surgeries (TRS) and post-surgical care.
