Experience in 2SLGBTQ+ Research

Zack’s current projects focus on research production, knowledge synthesis, and the ethics of research with individuals and communities who experience marginalization and other forms of oppression, including 2SLGBTQ+ people.

Specific projects:

2SLGBTQ+ Health Hub
2SLGBTQ+ people’s experiences of help-seeking related to intimate partner abuse
Knowsy, a database of systematic reviews, scoping reviews, and evidence maps focused on 2SLGBTQ+ health and wellness
Thriving on Campus: Promoting the belonging, wellbeing, and academic development of 2SLGBTQ+ university students throughout Ontario
Developing and validating a Two-Spirit/Trans search hedge

Research Interest(s) in 2SLGBTQ+ Communities

Building on a history of work with queer and trans communities related to mental health, harm reduction, and sexual health, Zack is passionate about how we can leverage research for transformative social change. Zack is committed to collaborative mentorship models and creating spaces that centre groups who have been historically underrepresented and undervalued in academia.
