Experience in LGBT2SQ research
I am currently working as a Research Officer at the Ontario Digital Literacy and Access Network (ODLAN), leading a project on transphobic online hate targeting Two Spirit, Trans, Nonbinary (2STN+) professionals working at organizations that serve 2STN+ and/or 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. In 2018-2019, I worked as a research associate and project manager for the Toronto Trans Coalition Project, where I conducted a needs assessment of trans and nonbinary people in Toronto based on the social determinants of health. This needs assessment consisted of an online survey of trans and nonbinary people in Toronto (181 respondents) and nine in-person focus groups (31 participants). In 2018-2020, I also worked as a research assistant on the SSHRC-funded project, Transgender Ethnography Project (PI: Dr. Sheila Cavanagh) and conducted one-on-one interviews with trans individuals (20 participants) across Ontario.
