Family Services York Region now offers an LGBTTQ Information, Referral and Support Line. The number is 1-888-yorklgbt or numerically 1-888-967-5542. This line is intended to serve ALL LGBTTQ people/those with questions, etc. Although we can serve youth, please note the line is NOT youth specific, but rather intended for people of all ages. The number is set up to take messages at all times, but will be directly answered on Wednesdays, between 3:30 p.m. -8:45 p.m. Messages will be returned within 24 hours, other than those left on weekends. Weekend messages will be returned on Monday. This number can presently accept calls from across Ontario. The line will be more formally launched in the fall, at which time we will increase staff/hours.
